Five weeks into the league 43 players from 14 known countries have participated so far. The new players that took part are: senateur ๐ง๐ฏ, silencieux2 ๐ง๐ฏ, bme ๐บ๐ฌ, & carlomonte ๐ฉ๐ช. The numbers that participated in this weekโs tournament increased from 21 to 25. The rankings still being dominated by the most consistent players who have participated in 4 or all 5 tournaments.
After the 5th tournament of the season Oga Otโa of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson continues to increase his lead with 32.5 points reasserting his dominance of the game. In second place with 23.0 points is ayirungo ๐ฌ๐ญ, and in 3rd position is roberisco ๐ฌ๐ญ with 20.5 points. It is early days but this seasonโs league and there is still time for consistent players to make their mark.
43 players that have participated in the tournaments so far. 5 weeks in and we are approaching half the numbers that participated in the whole of last years league. This continues to bode well for smashing last seasons record of 112 participants. Well done to everyone who has participated. Do well to recruit other players to participate in these tournaments, so that we can surpass last seasonโs tally of players.
Please take note, the first three positioned players who are International or Full members of The Oware Society will be awarded cash prizes. Therefore If you place in the top 3, and wish to be considered for a cash award join the Oware Society. If donors & sponsorship can be partnered, and we are able to raise enough funds from member subscriptions thus increasing the prize fund. We will award prizes top placed, female, junior & continental players who have International, Full or Family membership.
