Last weekโs number of active players in the all time top ten players list for the first time surpassed the dormant players, at 6 in number. mrjohnson, aiyedunseun, akinking & kasoniga all the top players from Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ. akrugu & ayirungo the top players from Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ. The Oga Otโa of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson remains in the lead, with a slightly decreased 2318 points.
The threshold for entry into the active top ten increased, with laladom ๐น๐ฌ making it in the list with 1820. All the in the list being in the Orange zone (1800 - 2099). There were two players in the Orange zone who did not make it into the list. Well done to the players who managed to make it into this list. ๐๐๐.
The giant of Afrika, Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ continues to dominate the top ten ranking lists. Their numbers in top ten all time & active list & increased to 4 & 5 respectively.: mrjohnson, akinking, aiyedunseun, kasoniga & adebayoademo. Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ also continues to make their presence felt, maintaining their numbers at two & four respectively in each list with: akrugu, ayirungo, prof23 & roberisco,. grandmastert from Antigua & Barbuda ๐ฆ๐ฌ the only known player from outside Afrika, was demoted from the list.. To complete the list laladom from Togo ๐น๐ฌ makes it back into the top ten after a long absence. This weekโs list is notable due to the absence of players from Benin ๐ง๐ฏ, who have been a regular feature in the active players list almost every week. I am sure we will see them back in the coming weeks.
