Last weekโs number of active players in the all time top ten players stayed the same at half the players, with some new entrants from Benin. mrjohnson the Oga Otโa of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ, akrugu from Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ, aiyedunseun ๐ณ๐ฌ, ayoboss ๐ง๐ฏ and bobstar ๐ง๐ฏ. The Oga Otโa of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson remains in the lead, with a slightly increased 2306 points.
The threshold for entry into the active top ten decreased slightly, with grandmastert ๐ฆ๐ฌ making it in the list with 1832. Making all the occupants of these two lists from the orange (1800 - 2099) & red zones (2100 +) only. Well done to the players who managed to make it into this list. ๐๐๐.
The giant of Afrika, Nigeriaโs ๐ณ๐ฌย dominance of the top ten ranking lists, is beginning to dwindle, with the same number of players, 3 & 2 respectively in the all time & active lists: mrjohnson, akinking & aiyedunseun. Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ also continues to make their presence felt, albeit with a reduction to 1 in the all time list & 4 players in the active list with: akrugu, prof23, ayirungo & lordcity.
Benin ๐ง๐ฏ now has 3 & 2ย players in the all time & active list respectively with: leprophete ayoboss & bobstar in the all time list & active top ten list respectively. bsd4100g the unknown player also maintains his or her position in the active list. To complete the list grandmastert from Antigua & Barbuda ๐ฆ๐ฌ maintained his place in the active top ten list. Remaining the only known player from outside Afrika in the active list.
Well done to all the players on the playok platform who battled in the ashanti roomย last week and making it as vibrant as it is. Congratulations to those players among the many who prevailed to make it into either top ten lists this week, especially the active list ๐๐๐. It will become even more vibrant once we all engage in recruiting new players, novices to grandmasters to the platform.
